On August 27th, following the 10:30am service, Grace Church will be hosting a special farewell coffee hour for both our Lay Pastor, Andrew Kaye and our Music Director, Morris Ellington.
Andrew has served Grace Church since January 2016, and been a vital piece of both our Christian education and community outreach initiatives. Andrew was invited by the Bishop and the postulancy committee of the Diocese of Toronto, to take up a position at St. Timothy’s North Toronto beginning September 10th 2017. At St. Timothy’s he will – God willing – continue his ministry after his prospective ordination in May 2018. We pray that Andrew will continue to thrive and grow in his calling to serve the church and are grateful for all skill and energy that he brought in his service at Grace.
Morris has been involved with the music ministry at Grace Church since October 2016 before formally taking up the position of Music Director in May of 2017. Under Morris’ leadership the music ministry and choir excelled – with wonderful performances at our Advent Lessons and Carols and Easter Concert. Unfortunately, the distance from home for Morris became too strenuous and he will be taking up a position closer to home in Oakville, beginning September 2017. We pray for every blessing upon Morris and his family as he takes up this new position and know that he will continue to be a boon to any congregation where he serves.
